Published by Crystal December 14th, 2007 in scooters.Gloria Estefan and Rachel Ray with the Yum-o! custom Vespa LX now up for auction. Photo used with permission, Piaggio Group Americas.
Piaggio Group Americas recently joined up with Rachael Ray and her organization, Yum-o!, to design a Rachael Ray Yum-o! branded Vespa LX 50 scooter, shown above. In bright orange with the Rachel Ray Yum-o! logo on both sides, the Vespa is being showcased on the Rachel Ray show today. It’s now up for auction until January 11, 2008, at Charity Folks.
The proceeds of the auction benefit Rachael Ray’s Yum-o! charity which works to empower kids and their families to develop healthy relationships with food and cooking. The Vespa LX 50 has a suggested retail price of $3,199 and bidding starts at $2,000- so bid early, bid often and help a great cause.

Hi Crystal, Great story. Can I have your permission to blog this article and also to link girlbike to my site? Cheers.
Edmund - you’ll have to ask Vespa if you can use the photo (I had to ask them for permission). You are welcome to link to the story here if you like, but I can’t give you permission for use of the photo. Thanks for asking!
FYI - girlbike is mentioned on the Rachel Ray official blog, Everything Rachel Ray - http://rachaelrayblog.blogspot.com/2007/12/rachael-ray-roundup_14.html
