What if winner is from out of state?
We never ever have raffles like this around here or I’d be all over it!! OR is the raffle for a voucher that I could use at my local Vespa dealer?
Susan, you can buy tickets if you live in the US - just send a check to Ashley Lincoln at Gifford Memorial Hosptal, P.O. Box 2000, Randolph, Vermont 05060, with your name, address and phone number. Do it soon before the 250 tickets sell out.
You can send her an email at ALincoln@GIFFORDMED.org. It is my understanding that Vespa USA will arrange to have a Vespa LX50 delivered to the Vespa dealer nearest the winner.
Just be aware that if you win (I won a Vespa ET2 from Target in 2003) you are responsible for paying the sales tax and income tax on the $3200 value of the scooter. In my case my “free” scooter cost about $1,200, but it was totally worth it.
Thank god we’re not all in your tax bracket, Lisa.
Susan - perhaps we can someone to ride this scoot to Colorado in the event that one of your mountaineers wins it?
After all, isn’t this Long Haul just a warm up ride for something bigger?
For those of you interested: I’ve spoken with Ashley, who is a sweetheart, and she gave me some detailed information on this benefit. I was practically in tears! This cause is absolutely worthwhile - scooter or not. Kudos to them for organizing such a wonderful event and showing their care and dedication!
Also, my recognition goes out to Vespa USA! Again, wonderful of them to be involved in such a worthy event.
It’s coming down to the wire on tickets, so please call Ashley at Gifford Medical Center if you would like to pay for a ticket via credit card. (802) 728-2380
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!
