Transformers Vespa?
Published by Lesley August 7th, 2007 in scooters.I was so excited about the Transformers movie, because I’d heard that there was a Vespa “featured” in it.
I was thinking, “OMG! It’s ‘featured’ in a Transformers movie. There must be a transforming Vespa.”
I was so stoked. I got my best friend to watch Nicky, and DH and I headed off for the matinee. Now don’t get me wrong. It was the best movie I’ve seen all year. I was laughing, crying, or gasping incessantly throughout. Talk about a thrill ride!
But was there a transforming Vespa?

There was a chase scene that was maybe five minutes long where the heroine of the flick was riding it. It was exquisite, the loveliest shade of blue I’ve ever seen on a scoot, and she had a gorgeous matching helmet.
I would still give the movie two wheels up and encourage everyone to go see it, but I really wanted to see a transforming scooter…

Hey, I’m surprised you didn’t mention the PINK BIKE that one kid was riding! It looked like one of those Roxy Schwinns they’re selling at Target this year.
The scene where the military dude rode a sportbike motorcycle was pretty hilarious. I don’t think it was supposed to be funny, but we laughed, hard.
OMG I totally missed the pink bike! I’m ashamed! Pink is my favorite color.
Hey Lesley — I hear that the latest movie about Jason Bourne, The Bourne Ultimatum or something like that, features a scooter chase and at least one exploding Vespa. Would an explosion make you feel better?
Was it a pink vespa or pink bike?
Might give this movie a watch if i can get some time off this weekend.

Ohh I need that pink bike!!!!!!!!! It’s gooorgeous! I mean all I have is an el cheapo walmart bike! Don’t you think I need it?
Lesley, I hate to say it…but those Target-sold Schwinns are NOT as nice as the Scwhinns sold for 2X more at bike shops. I test rode this one around the store, and it seemed really flimsy. I own a bright pink Electra Townie myself, and I think it’s a much nicer bike than the cuter Roxie Schwinn! Once again, it’s 2X the price, but you really get what you pay for.
