gorgeous Vino 125 makeover: the Taxi
Published by Crystal January 24th, 2007 in accessories, upgrades & performance.
When I saw Bill Bremner’s “Taxi” Yamaha Vino 125 pics over at the Vino125 group, I had to write to ask him if I could share a photo with you.
His mods include:
- Memphis Shades Solar windshield
- Front turn signals / running lights
- Milano seat re-upholstered
- Backrest re-upholstered and powder-coated
- Rear rack powder coated
- New paint job with 3M Scotchgard and checkered stripes
- 12v weatherproof outlet for my GPS
- Aftermarket handgrips
Bill’s Vino 125 was previously silver. He mentioned in the Vino125 Girls group that he feels much safer because of the increased eye-catching color scheme. He also mentioned that he’s looking for feedback, good and bad.
When I wrote to ask if I could post a photo, he told me that he’s going to enter it in a local car show this weekend for fun. I’m guessing he’ll win.

Work of Art (with a capital A). Beautiful !! Looks modern, cool and eye catching. Nice find !
I LOVE IT! How clever and practical!! I wonder what you could have come up with for a seat cover if he hadn’t reupholstered it. He thought he’d get NEGATIVE feedback? Not from scooter people!!
I think the taxi look is abso-frickin-lutely adorable. Looks very “Miami Beach” to me. On the practical side, not sure how the yellow and white on the seat is going to hold up…that’s my only reservation. You mentioned an outlet for your GPS…is that GPS mounted somehow on your dash? I’m interested.
HELP
I HAVE NO IDEA IF THIS IS THE WEB SITE I WANT BUT HELP I DO NEED. I AM HANDICAPPED AND HAVE NO WISH TO BE IN ONE OF THE INFERIOR INFURIATING 3 WHEEL TRIKES AVAILABLE. I WOULD RATHER, IF POSSIBLE, TRY TO ADAPT A 3 WHEEL VESPA FOR MY NEEDS. MY NEEDS ARE THE ABILITY TO MOVE. TO BE ABLE TO GO TO THE STORE, BANK, VISIT A FRIEND ETC. INSTEAD I AM LOCKED AWAY IN A CAGE (SMALL APT) BECAUSE ACCESS TO STREET
IS PROHIBITIVE. ITS A BIG DISTANCE TO BACK PARKING LOT (WHICH IS LEVEL AND A;;OWS ME TO BE PUSHED IN A WHEEKCHAIR EASIER!) WHEN SOMEONE DECIDES TO TAKE PITY ON ME) AND EVEN HARDER TO ACCESS THE STREET SINCE THERE IS A 300 FOOT PATH OF COBBLESTONE MORE LIKE A RAMP, I NEED AND WANT INDEPENDENCE, YET SECURITY AND SAFETY. I FEEL A 3 WHEELED
VESPA OR MOTOR SCOOTER ALLOWS ME ALL THAT AND MORE. ANY PROS? CONS? THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TRIKES YOU SEE AD NAUSEAUM DO NOT SEEM TO LOOK SAFE…YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN…( YOU MADE ME LOVE YOU OH GOD WHAT A WHINE). HIT A BUMP AND WHAT PROTECTION IS THERE? ON A VESPA THERE IS A PROTECTIVE FRONT (SHIELD). OK THE IDEA OF 5 MILES AN HOUR IS LUDICRIOUS TO ME…I’M NOT STUPID ENOUGH TO THINK I WILL DO 50MPH…BUT MORE REALISTIC/ MY MEDICAL PROBLEM HAS TO DO WITH AN IMNA;AMCE AMD FRACTIRED SPINE/ I FEEL IF THE DRS WILL ALLOW THE TRIKE…WHY NOT A 3 WHEELED SCOOTER.
THANKS FOR HEARING ME OUT. MY E=MAIL ADDRESS IS ABOVE AND ANY AND ALL COMMENTS ARE WELCPME AND APPRECOATED. IOF ONLY TO RECOMMEND SOMETHING OR SOMEONE.
PLEASE HELP ME START HAVING A LIFE AND MY PRAYERS IF APPROPROATE TO YOUR BROPTHER

Ebee,
The outlet is under the right side of the dash below the key. It is a weather proof outlet with a cover. I am looking for a handle bar mount for my Magellan GPS
