I’ve been searching for just the right present for my Mom for mother’s day. She always says “I don’t need anything,” but you know how it is. You have to get your mom a present even if she says not to. She loves to read, so a book is a good choice.

So, I was looking through books on Amazon, and this book came up - I don’t even remember what I was searching for, because it sure wasn’t this: Chicken Soup for the Golden Soul: Heartwarming Stories about People 60 and Over. OK, I’ll check it out, I thought.

I clicked on the large print edition, and then on Excerpt. Lo and behold, the excerpted story is about a woman who purchases her very first scooter!
