pink bikes and moo cows

So, guess what I’ve finally done… I’ve finally finally updated the pink bike page! Now, sadly (and stupidly on my part), I lost a good deal of the submissions that you all sent in since November, so please send them in again.
On the topic of pink bikes, I came across this photo of the Trek Project One "Moo Cow" bike, and have very strong mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I LOVE it!! and on the other hand, my first impression (or second impression) is that it’s a blatant rip-off of the Terry Moo Cow bike that went off the market some years ago. Can you copyright a bicycle’s paint scheme?
You asked about the Trek’s “Moo Cow” bike being a rip-off of the Terry Moo. I lived in Madison, Wisconsin from 1993 to 2003. I recall walking by a bike shop one day (probably around 1994) and seeing a Trek painted in a similar design as the picture you show. It was after that that I saw the Terry Moo. So, I think that Trek had the idea first, at least for the local Wisconsin market.
As an interesting coincidence, I saw yesterday that the Sock Guy manufacturers both a Wisconsin sock (with the same holstein paint pattern as the Moo bikes) and a Cow sock. Too bad I don’t live in Wisconsin still. &8)
