scooter update, parts for sale
Published by Crystal November 23rd, 2004 in accidents.Well, my little totalled Metro now has a new owner (the girl-who-ran-into-me’s insurance company), and it will soon be off to the salvage yard. I considered putting in a salvage bid, but it was incredibly high, and I’m not sure if it’s worth trying to fix. I’ve been looking at used scooters to buy, and hope to have news about that up here soon.
I have the following brand new parts for sale that I never got a chance to put on it for a final gear (transmission) upgrade, plus the Met I camshaft:
Final Gear (45T) - 23430-GET-000
Counter shaft (13T) - 23421-GET-000
Counter gear (42T) - 23422-GET-000
Camshaft - 14100-GET-000
liquid gasket stuff for transmission case
hypoid 90 marine oil
I paid about $130 for all of this, not counting shipping. I’ll let it go for $110 plus shipping - to be determined depending how far away you are, etc.
Add $20 if you want a used service manual (they cost $36+ shipping new).
I also have (used): an original grab bar, the original Met II variator plate, original Met II carb spring and the original metal gasket (if you feel the need to re-restrict your scooter! )
THANK YOU for all your letters of support and get well wishes!

Ms. ?,
I hope all is well and I hope you can help me out. Yesterday I bought a used 2005 Metro II. I have a motorcycle
( v-star 650 ) very road worthy but not an around town bike.
I live in Auburn, Alabama - 36830 which is a college town.
Small / quick transport is a gift from God. I also have a EV Warrior electric bicycle. but still a bit slow.
The metro II I bought is not much faster. I have a buddy, mechanically inclined, unlike myself who said he might be able to pep it up to something in the Metro I family with certain parts.
I’m wondering if the parts you have for sale would
point me in that direction. If so are they still available?
Will you please let me know, thanks Mike.
