just two more NYC scooter pics
Published by Crystal May 6th, 2007 in accessories, scooters.13) I totally forgot to include this picture I took when I was at Vespa Soho: Here’s the new Givi T444 scooter bag, which is designed to sit on the floorboard between your legs. It has flaps with optional velcro to attach it to the hump in the floorboard, or you can strap it on under the frame (I’ve heard that doesn’t work that great, though). Or, if you’ve got a hook on or under your seat, just hang it from that. Comes in a sort of yellowish green with faux carbon accents, or in black (the black is model T435). Both have reflective piping.
14) I finally met my ex-co-blogger, Neil Barton of urbannerd.com. Neil was my cohort over at Vespaway back in the day. Emily and I took the water taxi over to Liberty State Park in New Jersey to meet him. Thanks, Neil, for the tour! Visiting Liberty State Park was a moving experience for me, since it is where my friend Liddy often used to ride her bike, and this is the first time I’ve been there.
Other scooters I saw but didn’t take photos of (either they were moving or I was moving, and I didn’t have my camera out in time): a Honda Elite parked at a LIRR station bicycle rack; a Honda Ruckus as a food delivery vehicle in front of a restaurant; some NYC police officers on Piaggios; a group of riders with various scooters (a green Stella or PX, a black Bajaj, a couple more) in the East Village; a Yamaha Vino 125 in the West Village; a few non-identifiable brands whizzing by, a lot of ETs.
