I bought some reflective silver flames from Weston Signs & Decals’ ebay store, and I put them on my scooter yesterday. I thought they’d add a little flare to the scoot while adding a little extra safety feature.

I’m not really 100 percent loving them because I think they look more sticker-y than I thought they would, and aren’t quite the color match I’d hoped. I was hoping they’d be a bit more subtle, unless lights shine on them, and then I’d want them really obvious (which they are, yay!). Maybe it’s because I was looking at them from about 4 inches away while installing them rather than looking at the big picture. What do you think?

Looks really good in the pics. I like how they are framed within your cowl protectors.
I think reflective vinyl is a great way to increase visibility and customize your scoot, but sadly it will always look kinda “stickery.”

I think they look good! Nice find! :)

I think they look great. We could get a better idea if you show a wider shot that shows your whole scooter. But very nice. Did you have to take off the Vespa emblem to put the sticker behind it?

Personally, I like that they don’t exactly match the color of the bike, and they sure seem bright. Just wondering, did you have to take the nameplate off, or did you just cut the decal where needed?

People tell me the reflective stripes on my Corazzo 5.0 jacket are practically visible from space, and these look just as bright… you’d get the same visibility from the side.

Just wondering, do they have anything besides flames? Those are getting kinda tired…

    To answer questions:

I cut the sticker and tucked the ends behind the Vespa emblem.

Yes, they make a lot of other things, and also do custom work. If you click on the link to the auction, you can then click on their ebay store, and their web site is http://www.westonsigns.com/ to see more of their items.

They are kinda starting to grow on me. Lisa, i’ll take some pics from a distance, too, as soon as the weather clears.

    thanks for all your feedback!

I like that new look a lot! Especially the overlap of the Vespa name over the edge of the flame. Drool over subtle touches like that. As a bling junkie and lover of modest purposeful stickering, I’m hardly going to give any surprise response. I think dressing up a Vespa and taking away a little of the snooty name appeal and giving it more personal looks is just right. The shine on the flames is glorious. Take a pic like Lisa suggested so we see the full effect. Enjoy, Crystal!

They look fine, but you could try a site, http://www.scootgraphics.com. They will actually make the graphics to your specification. I wanted bubbles for my scooter and just sent them a picture, they designed them, sent me a sample, then made them up for me. They look great, and not sticker like.

Jacky, the link you left for scootgraphics doesn’t work. Could you please check it and re-post? I’m intrigued by the idea of bubbles on my scoot. Thanks!
