naughty? nice? everyone deserves a Halo

Here’s a recommendation for a must-have stocking stuffer, for yourself or friends. The Helmet Halo is like a large rubber band with highly reflective material on one side that fits around your helmet, giving you 360 degrees of reflectability (is that a word?). The rubbery neoprene side grips the helmet to keep from sliding off. At $9 to $15 each (depending where you find them), they are a safety bargain. I have an old orange one on my black helmet, which makes it more visible in the day time just by being day-glo orange, and it’s VERY visible when light is shown on it - the ads says it can be seen from 2,000 feet. You can see my silver one on the black helmet at the bottom of the right-hand column of this page (it’s now on my pink helmet).
Do a search for “helmet halo” on ebay or in your favorite search engine. Here are a couple of stores I found that carry it: California Sport Touring has silver ones in stock for $12.30; Helmet Harbor has it for $13.95. Chances are your local motorcycle or scooter dealer has them, too.

I think I definitely will get one of these halos. Do they have one in electric blue?
