is green the new pink for 2007?
Published by Crystal April 19th, 2007 in news & gossip, scooters.
Is green the new pink this year? The market certainly isn’t as overwhelmed with green as it is other colors, but it sure is one of the best looking colors for 2007. Take a gander at the hot looking Kymco People 150 ($3,199) to the left. I could easily remake my wardrobe for a scoot that looks that good.
It looks like green isn’t going to take over the market any time soon. It often is the color of choice for “special” or “limited editions, or at least is only available temporarily. Before this year, only a few modern scooters were available in green. For example, a few of Vespas came in green shades - years ago, the ET had a green version, there used to be a vintage green Vespa GT, and you can still find new (2005) vintage green PX-150s.
Genuine had a mint green Stella, and the limited edition British racing green Stella. TN’G has a dark green 49cc Venice. It was with great sadness that Honda Metropolitan fans said goodbye to the kiwi green Met - a mystery since green sure seemed to be one of the more popular colors.
Besides the Kymco People 150, 2007 also brings out the sporty neon green Derbi GP1 Open 50cc scooter (I couldn’t find a price, sorry), shown in the background of the picture on the right, and the dual-tone Buddy 125 Italia ($2,699), in the front. So, while it’s still not easy being green, you can still find some pretty cool looking green scooters this year - while they last.

So many different shades of green. Vespa’s vintage green is a totally different “animal” than the Honda Met green or camo green on the Buddy. I read somewhere that car colors blue and green vary in popularity from year to year, but green is becoming popular again especially on hybrid cars, to “drive it home” so to speak, showing the owner is green, LOL.
Help !!! I have a 49cc Venice Scooter ~ Where can I get parts for it ???
Connie, is there a local TN’G dealer where you are? If not, I’d suggest doing a search on-line.
Because green is the best color ever for scooters. The vintage vespa green is my favorite, just because of the metalflake. All my scooters have been green.
