Rosa is back, and we went on our first ride today. It was only from the mechanic’s about nine miles home, but it was so great to be back on the road again. I can’t even remember when my last ride was.
I still have to put on my summer windshield, and dust off the GIVI trunk (I’m embarrassed to say that I literally had to wipe the dust off my boots!). I already made her a new leopard scooter seat cover, this time with reflective piping.
She has a clean bill of health (along with new brake fluid and oil), and the next big step is to get her a new variator. I’ve taken off the front rack since I’m planning on getting new stainless front bars–I already replaced my chrome rear bars with stainless. I’m undecided if I want to put the front rack back on. I’m just feeling an urge to do something different this year.
By the way, if you also own an ET4 and are in the mood to upgrade, I’ve noticed a few sales going on. Scooter West is selling the ET front rack for a measly $49, and silver front horn covers are only $8 (yes, $8), to start. Scooterworks has ET patches for only $3.60. Scooter Parts Direct has unpainted ET plastic panels if you’re up for a new color scheme, or get clear turn signal lenses for only $39.95. If you happen to have a black ET2 or ET4 and need a right plastic rear fender panel, get it for $4 here. Need a windshield for your Bajaj Legend or Aprilia SR50? Here’s a Legend one for $55 (reg $135), one for an Aprilia SR50 for $25, and one for $35. Anyone know of more good deals out there?
Yeah, $4 for the black side fender right-hand side but if you need a left-hand one it’s not at the clearance price, so it’s $76.46. So if you want to have matching black ones (so you don’t have to paint it the color of your scooter) then it’s two for $80 - still a good deal though. Those Aprilia windshield deals are great also. Thanks for finding stuff like that for us!
The ET4 looks so cute. I have forgotton how lovely the ET’s cowl lines are and was reminded by your photo. Glad you had a good first ride of the season!
