Those fans of the 2007 Female Mechanics Calendar will be happy to know that the 2008 Female Mechanics Calendar is now available - and I think it’s even better than last year’s.

Photographer and adventure motorcyclist Sarah Lyon again transversed the country looking for women mechanics - those who work on cars, motorcycles, helicopters, buses, trucks, and bicycles. All the photos show real women mechanics working in their shop environments, eash sought out in Sarah’s 12,000-mile, 3-month trip on her 1977 BMW R100S motorcycle this past summer.

The calendar also includes a six page photo collage of images from the journey and a story about the creation of the project, and features Sarah and her motorcycle on the cover.
