a scooter dealer in the family

My brother Bob, owner of Waters Sales & Service, officially became a Vento scooter dealer today - the only one in the state of Vermont. I’m eyeing that Jazz, have you seen them? I haven’t ridden a Vento, but they consistently got good grades when I asked for opinions from friends and on various lists. Don’t worry, I have plans to test ride as many as possible when the roads clear in Vermont.I have to say that I really like the Vento Rebellian motorcycle. Every time I look at it, I think about a classmate I had when I was taking my Motorcycle Safety Foundation class. Her husband had bought her a brand new $10,000+ Harley, which is why she was taking the course. No pressure or anything, right? She had never ridden before and didn’t seem to want to all that much. It’s already nerveracking enough to take the course, but unless you’re independently wealthy, that’s a lot of expectation to lay on a person. (She didn’t pass the test the first time, and didn’t come back for the retest as far as I know.) The Rebellian is no Harley, but it doesn’t claim to be, and that’s what I like about it. It’s super cool looking whether you have tattoos or not, has enough power to start out with, and at that price, it’s not quite as devastating if you accidently forget to put down the sidestand or something. Plus it has cute accessories. ![]()
