day two: waiting out the rain
Published by Crystal August 21st, 2007 in Long Haul to the Last Mile Ride.We decided to stay in Hazelton one more day/night since the weather report said it would be even colder and rainier than yesterday. Tomorrow’s weather promises to start out cool and then warm up to the mid 70s. We’re not that thrilled about the cold, but we all agree that 50s dry is better than 50s wet. We spent the day relaxing, studying maps, and checking the weather. Susan and Pascal went for a walk to the mall while I did some more map research. We had scheduled in a buffer day, and we’re really glad we did. I think the cold rainy day wiped us out more than we thought it did. Wish us luck tomorrow!

I hope tomorrow is a much better day. I imagine scooting in the rain and cold isn’t very comfortable. Stay safe!

Good luck tomorrow! I wish I could send some of the tropical weather we’re having here in the Dallas area (80-95 with some breeze but humid) up your way. Thanks for keeping us posted.
Weather here in Vermont is looking good and warmer as the week passes. I hope you have a good ride today.
Take care.

Glad to hear you used that buffer day — it’s much better to ride well-rested and dry.
