day four (so far): seeing Susan and Pascal off
Published by Crystal August 23rd, 2007 in Long Haul to the Last Mile Ride.
I just saw Susan and Pascal off about a half hour ago. I’m so grateful that they are keeping the Long Haul going. Looks like they have warmer weather and cloudy skies ahead of them. Susan put the memorial placard on her Vino, and Pascal put Elaine’s carnation on his scooter.
I asked them to do a posed shot before they left.

It was really tough to see them off, but I’m so grateful they are so willing to carry on.
One last shot, in the distance, honking the whole way:

Thank you for all your good wishes. Please keep these two in your thoughts today.

Rooting for all THREE of you. Crystal, for your heart to lighten past your disappointment. Pascal and Susan, for the road to shorten so you finish the long haul safe and proud. All of you are in n my thoughts daily.
Oh, Crystal, what a tough thing to have to do — wave goodbye to the two of them. I’m so sorry.
I’ve been thinking of you all every day, but haven’t been able to get on line until now, only to get this news.
I’m rooting for you to get your Vespa fixed in time for the Last Ride, or at least to borrow a scoot for the day.
Loads of virtual hugs to you, Susan, and Pas.
Gee those two pictures kinda made me teary
Good Luck to them both!
Hey I what kind of saddle bags are thoes on that Yahmah Vino 125?
Thanks!
Eric - those bags are Technic brand bags that both Susan and I got on sale at NewEnough.com. They occassionally have luggage at deep discounts that sell very quickly.
