I just got a note in my emailbox about the latest sale over at Aerostitch/RiderWearHouse. This time, all of their inventory of discontinued Hi-Viz neon yellow products are on sale.

Choices on sale are the Darien and Roadcrafter pants, the Darien Light jacket and Roadcrafter jacket, and the coveted Roadcrafter one-piece suit, shown here. Now a couple of catches - there’s limited inventory, and they are only in men’s sizes. Oh yeah, and they are expensive. But expensive in the “this is a great investment in my safety” way, not in a frivolous way.

I absolutely love Hi-Viz neon yellow. As a cyclist, it was my top choice for road riding. No matter what the season or light level, especially if it had reflective bits, it seemed, by far, the easiest for drivers to spot. You know me, I understand the love for other colors, but I’m always on the lookout for a Hi-Viz armored woman’s jacket. I’d been looking at LaCrosse safety jackets, but they don’t have armor and they are only men’s sizing. After I get done writing this, I’m going to scope out the sizing tool on the Aerostitch web site.
