a new kind of retro: Yamaha C3
Published by Crystal June 29th, 2006 in scooters.
Yamaha has announced its 2007 lineup, and this year they are bringing the 50cc C3 to the States. Boasting a fuel-injected, 49cc liquid-cooled, SOHC 4-stroke single-cylinder 3-valve engine, a low 29-inch seat height, and a sort of Cushman/Topper mini-fridge retro look, the C3 lists for $1,999. See more photos and specs on the Yamaha U.S. site - but don’t miss the underseat storage pics over at Yamaha Japan*, where it’s called the “Vox.”
An interesting feature: unlike the majority of scooters, the front cowl turns along with the fork, says the site, “for style and function.” I’m not sure how that adds to either, but we’ll see. I’m looking forward to seeing them on the road - if only we could get the orange or light blue ones over here (technically, the Vox colors are “light/write orange metallic 5″ and “dull blue metalic 5″ respectively). Available in November, 2006.

all it needs is a drain plug “unless i missed that as a feature” , turn storage compartment into a cooler , cold brewskies for everyone….lol
I personally love retro anything including retro fashion. Thanks for the post.
