I happened upon Gena and Chad Dennis’ Web site the other day. This wife and husband team own Joyrides, LLC scooter shop in Wausau, Wisconsin. Their shop is scheduled to open in the spring 2008. What first intrigued me about the Web site is their cool logo and Web page layout.
I started reading a little […]

The other night my husband sent me a link to this car, the Loremo, and it reminded me of the post Crystal did not long ago about the Tata Nano. It’s most definitely not as cheap as the very minimalist car offered by Tata Motors. This one goes for a whopping $22,000. […]

Before I got obsessed by scooters, I was obsessed with bicycles. And when I was obsessed with bicycles and moved to Vermont from San Francisco a few years ago, I started winter riding. I was trying to straighten up archived photos on my computer and found this fuzzy photo of my winter bike taken in […]

three things I love…

If anyone knows me, they know I am nuts about dogs, scooters, and accessories (wallets, purses, bags, etc). Surfing the Internet, I found this cute line of accessories with a dog on a scooter from a Web site called Secret Garden Flowers and Gifts. I have not ordered from them, but […]

I had an email this morning announcing this year’s Scooters4Hooters second annual event on May 18, 2008 in Orlando, Florida. The entire event benefits Libby’s Breast Cancer Foundation - if the site isn’t up yet when you read this, read more about Libby’s Legacy here on the Scooters4Hooters web site.

heads up: Last Mile Ride 2008

Please mark your calendars - the Last Mile Ride 2008 will be held on August 16, 2008.
Last year I raised money in memory of Charles ‘Shod’ McCullough to benefit end-of-life care at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph, Vermont. Shod passed away a year ago today in the Garden Room at Gifford.

It’s that time again - it’s time to cast your vote for your favorite manufacturer, motorcycle, scooter, and more at the Motorcycle Bloggers International Riders Choice Awards web site.
Girlbike isn’t up for an award this year, but we were nominated in the category of “Women riders booster of the year.” To those that nominated girlbike, […]

About a year ago or so, Crystal posted a book giveaway on the Vino 125 Girls Yahoo! group. I was the lucky first responder. The book is called ZEN AND THE ART OF MOTORCYCLE MAINTENANCE An Inquiry Into Values by Robert M. Pirsig. The book shows some signs of wear; after all it is copyrighted […]
