6 Comments Published by Crystal August 27th, 2007 in Long Haul to the Last Mile Ride.I’m sorry this will be so brief, but I’m on dial-up now and everything takes forever to upload! Here are just a few pics and a brief report of the ride on Saturday.
I know a lot of you want to know who won the Vespa LX - the winner is Dr. Lou DiNicola, a pediatrician […]
A quick post before I start getting ready to check out and get stuff ready for Dwayne to pick me and the scooter up. I just want to thank girlbike readers, scooterseatcover customers, ModernVespa.com forum members, Ashley over at Gifford… just everyone who has shown such amazing support and assistance. It really means so much. […]

desperately seeking a CDI, scooter seat cover sale, and give $5 to Gifford
1 Comment Published by Crystal August 23rd, 2007 in Long Haul to the Last Mile Ride, deal alert!, scooter seat covers. After spending time on the phone with Wellesley at Vespa Washington this morning, the consensus seems to be that it’s either the HT coil or the CDI. A member of Modern Vespa is sending me a used HT coil, and I’m spending my day here trying to locate a CDI unit within 600 miles to […]
day four (so far): seeing Susan and Pascal off
5 Comments Published by Crystal August 23rd, 2007 in Long Haul to the Last Mile Ride.I just saw Susan and Pascal off about a half hour ago. I’m so grateful that they are keeping the Long Haul going. Looks like they have warmer weather and cloudy skies ahead of them. Susan put the memorial placard on her Vino, and Pascal put Elaine’s carnation on his scooter.

day three: 149 miles, 1 dead Vespa.

We only got lost once and ended up somehow on the expressway to the Wilkes-Barre airport, but soon got back on track. It took quite awhile to get through the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area and […]

4 Comments Published by Crystal August 21st, 2007 in Long Haul to the Last Mile Ride.We decided to stay in Hazelton one more day/night since the weather report said it would be even colder and rainier than yesterday. Tomorrow’s weather promises to start out cool and then warm up to the mid 70s. We’re not that thrilled about the cold, but we all agree that 50s dry is better than […]

6 Comments Published by Crystal August 21st, 2007 in Long Haul to the Last Mile Ride, travel & touring. We had a long day yesterday, and Susan and Pascal are waiting for me to get breakfast today, so I’m not going to make it a long post. I’ll just share a couple of pics from yesterday.
Here we are during our first official time getting lost! somewhere in southern PA.
We finally made it to Lancaster, […]
Just a quick post today, since we still have some test packing to do. Today some scooter friends came to meet Susan and me for coffee and lunch. From left to right - Alex (half of the couple featured in Thursday’s news story), Diane, Roy (sorry, Roy, for cutting off most of your head!), KT, […]
you can never have too many scooter-fanatic friends.
1 Comment Published by Crystal August 16th, 2007 in news & gossip.I was interviewed recently for an article about scooters in the local paper, and it came out today. As a bonus, Jodi, the woman featured in the photo with the blue LX (and pink helmet), let me know about the just-launched local scooter club she and her husband started. She also publishes a scooter blog, […]
