two scooterific years
1 Comment Published by Crystal January 28th, 2007 in deal alert!, news & gossip, scooter seat covers.I still can’t believe that my company scooterseatcovers.com is officially two years old this coming week.
Even though I’ve had a couple of years to think about it, when someone asks me what I do for a living, I still don’t really know how to describe it. According to fashion industry definitions, I’m officially (I think) […]

please send healing thoughts to my brother Bob Waters
11 Comments Published by Crystal January 17th, 2007 in riders. This post is less about scooters and more about asking for your good thoughts and wishes for my brother Bob Waters, who has been in ICU for a number of days with severe internal GI hemoraging. Right now, his prognosis is good, since they finally found the source of the bleeding yesterday and were able […]
going to Italy - when should we go?
16 Comments Published by Crystal January 14th, 2007 in travel & touring.I need some advice: My sisters and I have decided that we’re going to save up our pennies to take a trip to Italy some time in 2008, but we can’t decide when we should go.
My sisters have graciously agreed that a visit to the Piaggio Museum is a must - and they even agree […]
random scooter sighting: Victoria’s Secret
2 Comments Published by Crystal January 11th, 2007 in news & gossip.I received the semi-annual Victoria’s Secret last-chance sale catalog in the mail today, and tucked among the clearance items were two photos of models with pink Vespa ETs and a PX(page 42).
In other news, my ET4 wouldn’t start today, but maybe it’s because it was only 10 degrees out…

Got an opinion about the best motorcycle or scooter blog? What manufacturer has the best web site, and which has the worst? What’s the best scooter of 2006, and the ugliest motorcycle? Is there an invention or accessory announced in 2006 that you wish you’d thought of?
Well, get over to the Motorcycle Bloggers International web […]

Please check them out here! Feel free to write with any questions. More should be making it up there by the weekend.
more on trying a Piaggio MP3 - review on MV
0 Comments Published by Crystal January 4th, 2007 in scooters.Declare a resolution, and who knows, it just might come true. I received a note from a Piaggio marketing rep, who is going to try to get an MP3 into my hands for a try-out. In the meantime, though, check out Jess’ excellent MP3 review over at Modern Vespa.
my goodbye to Vespa blogs in the news
2 Comments Published by Crystal January 3rd, 2007 in news & gossip. This morning I opened my Google Alerts to find my name in there. The ClickZ marketing-news blog did a piece called “Two Years After Launching Brand Blogs, Vespa Forgets Them.”
If you’re not a Vespaway reader, you probably hadn’t read the post I wrote when I left that gig behind last November. I’d been a volunteer […]
